Who is “OFUKU?”

天照大神が天岩戸に隠れた時　アメノウズメは踊った　踊った
When Amaterasu, the Sun Goddess, hid in the cave of Amanoiwato,
Ame-no-Uzume, a deity, danced and danced.

八百万の神様は皆　笑った
Yaorozu (eight million) gods all laughed.

気になった天照大神が岩戸から顔を出した
Amaterasu, wondering, popped out her head out of the cave.

その時　世界に光が戻った

「お福」の語源はアメノウズメ
The origin of “Ofuku” is Ame-no-Uzume.

「OFUKU」は　江戸時代に生きた「お福」を演じている
